Test methods
METHOD ANOMALY
What a participant does
A continuous band of noise plays underneath the whole test. Brief tone pips are introduced at unpredictable moments, near the limit of noticeability. You press one main button the moment a beep actually stands out in the noise.
The headline number

- Unit
- dB re the level you set
- Measured against
- the ceiling you set on the example beep, in the same session
