Test methods
METHOD ANOMALY
What a participant does
A broad noise runs continuously. At irregular moments one narrow frequency region briefly changes. You press once when that spectral flash is actually heard.
The headline number
EQ boost needed for a band to stand out, against the band's centre frequency
- Unit
- dB of boost
- Measured against
- the unchanged carrier at the same frequency, in the same session
