Test methods
METHOD ANOMALY
What a participant does
A soft ambience runs continuously. At irregular moments a small reverberant bloom is added at one of several delays. You press once when the tail actually changes.
The headline number
Tail-change level needed for a bloom to be noticed, against tail delay
- Unit
- dB re the level you set
- Measured against
- the ceiling you set on the example tail change, in the same session
Analysis
Estimators, uncertainty, and result interpretation are documented under Results and analysis.
