Test methods
METHOD ANOMALY
What a participant does
A coherent stereo noise runs continuously. One channel is briefly delayed at irregular moments. You press once when the stereo image loses coherence.
The headline number
Inter-channel delay needed to disturb the stereo image, against break duration
- Unit
- ms of inter-channel delay
- Measured against
- the coherent version of the same carrier, in the same session
Analysis
Estimators, uncertainty, and result interpretation are documented under Results and analysis.
